How Legally works

An end-to-end walkthrough, from uploading a document to acting on what the analysis found.

Legally scans a legal document, scores the risk in each clause, explains the terms in plain language, and drafts a response you can send.

The four steps

You add a document by photographing it, uploading a PDF, or pasting text. Legally extracts the clauses and identifies the document type. Each clause is scored for risk and explained in everyday language. From there you can ask follow-up questions, generate a written response, or set a reminder for a date the document contains.

What you get back

Every analysis returns an overall risk score out of 100, a list of clauses flagged as high, medium or low risk, and a plain-language explanation of what each flagged clause means for you specifically. Explanations state the practical consequence rather than restating the legal wording.

What Legally is not

Legally is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. It helps you understand a document and prepare for a conversation with a qualified lawyer. For anything with significant financial or legal exposure, have a lawyer in your jurisdiction review it before you act.
